Take steps to prevent West Nile Virus

FORT CARSON, COLO. — The Fort Carson Public Health Team is warning the community to take steps to prevent being infected with West Nile Virus. Public Health says the best defense against contracting West Nile Virus is to avoid being bitten by mosquitos, however, if you think you or a family member have West Nile virus, consult a health care provider immediately.

The Team Behind the Team of 2023 MRC-West Best Medic Competition

FORT CARSON, Co. — When the 2023 Medical Readiness Command-West Best Medic Competition winning team crossed the finish line, they did so with the support of more than 150 cadre and support staff who planned and executed every phase of the competition.

Danny Crosby, chief of the Evans Army Community Hospital Department of Ministry and Pastoral Care, provides opening remarks during Evans' first Peer Support Program training for staff members Oct. 5. The Peer Support Program, or PSP, is designed to provide a support network for clinical staff who regularly manage significant emotional stress due to involvement in an adverse event, caring for trauma victims, negative patient outcomes, or other emotional events.
