Frequently Asked Questions
Q. Can I bring my child to my Radiology Appointment?
A. No. Due to the ionizing radiation used in some exams, we suggest you try to find other accommodations for your children during your appointment time.
Q. Who will contact me with the results of my exam?
A. The physician that ordered your exam should contact you with the results if you haven't already scheduled a follow up appointment with them.
Q. How long does it take for my doctor to get the results of my exam?
A. The doctor that ordered the exam will normally have results within 48 hours of your exam's completion. If they have not received the results please contact us at 719-526-7300.
Q. Can the Radiology department create a CD of my exams for me?
A. Yes. You will be required to fill out a DD Form 2870 and turn it in at the Radiology Front Desk. It takes us approximately 3 business days to create a CD of your images.
Q. Where do I pick up a CD of my exams for my doctor's appointment?
A. A CD of your exams should be requested from the Radiology Department at least 3 business days before your appointment. You will be required to fill out and turn in a DD Form 2870 before we can start the process of creating this CD. The DD Form 2870 is available at the Radiology Front Desk or you can download a copy of that form on the Downloads section of this page.
Q. I was in the ER and they sent my CD to another hospital. Can't I just go back to the Radiology Department for another CD?
A. In cases of emergencies where a patient is transferred to another hospital the Radiology Department has to generate emergency copies to help with the patient's diagnosis. If another CD is required for continuation of medical care off post then you can request one through the Radiology Front Desk. You will be required to fill out a DD Form 2870 before we create that CD. It takes approximately 3 business days to create your CD.
