Food insecurity occurs when you do not have access to enough food to live a healthy life. Unfortunately, due to many factors like single income households due to PCS, deployment and limited childcare, and the rising costs and availability of healthy foods, many military families struggle with food insecurity.
If you’re experiencing challenges with accessing healthy, affordable food, know you’re not alone. Evans Army Community Hospital is committed to providing resources and support to those in need.
Below are a few ways to find help!

The Basic Needs Allowance is a monthly allowance for active-duty service members with dependents who have completed initial entry training and whose gross household income falls below 150% of federal poverty guidelines.
