Beginning Monday, June 29, 2026, Evans Army Community Hospital Pharmacies will open 30 minutes later to allow resources to be concentrated during peak patient demand periods, which will reduce patient wait times and improve the overall customer experience. New hours will be 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. for both the Main Outpatient Pharmacy and Soldier Family Care Center (SFCC) Pharmacy.

Public Health Service Lt. Austin D Hamilton, left, a licensed supervisory psychologist with the Fort Carson Intrepid Spirit Center, and Kirsten Larson, an ISC psychometrist, fine tune the connection on a neurofeedback Electro-Cap worn by Suzanne Martin, an ISC neuropsychologist, while testing out new equipment for use in treatment of traumatic brain injury and other diagnoses. Neurofeedback is an evidenced-based practice that allows clinicians to “map” brain activity levels and compare the results to what is considered normal brain activity.

Neurofeedback equipment improves treatment for TBI, other diagnoses

The Fort Carson Intrepid Spirit Center recently received new neurofeedback equipment that will improve treatment for patients suffering from Traumatic Brain Injury or other psychological concerns. The neurofeedback equipment was provided through a generous contribution from the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund, according to Public Health Service Cmdr. Sally Bobula, director of the Fort Carson ISC.

The Intrepid Spirit Center, or ISC, hosted an open house Friday, March 21, 2025, to increase awareness for the center’s services, and to support Brain Injury Awareness Month.

The Fort Carson Intrepid Spirit Center, or ISC, is a state-of-the-art treatment facility dedicated to the assessment and care of concussions and other forms of brain Injuries.

Staff Sgt. Carlie Pack, a 68P Radiology Specialist assigned to the Evans Army Community Hospital Radiology Department, is ready for her upcoming deployment, thanks to a recent collaboration with a local Colorado Springs hospital. Memorial Hospital Central in Colorado Springs stepped in to provide training on a Computed Tomography, or CT, scanner that wasn’t available at Fort Carson.

Community partnership facilitates training opportunity

An Evans Army Community Hospital Soldier is ready for her upcoming deployment, thanks to a recent collaboration with a local Colorado Springs hospital. Staff Sgt. Carlie Pack, a 68P Radiology Specialist assigned to the EACH Radiology Department, was tasked to support an upcoming deployment, but wanted some additional training on a Computed Tomography, or CT, scanner that wasn’t available at Fort Carson.

Surveyors from The Joint Commission visited Evans Army Community Hospital, Feb. 4-7, 2025, to evaluate the facility for triennial re-accreditation.
