Hearing Program
About
The Hearing Readiness Clinic, which falls under the Army Hearing Program (AHP) delivers patient-centered health care to primarily Active-Duty Soldiers and noise exposed civilian workers. Within the clinic, there are hearing technicians and Audiologists. The hearing technicians provide annual hearing health education, earplug fittings, and conduct audiometric surveillance (i.e., annual, pre/post-deployment hearing tests). If a Soldier is identified with a shift in his/her hearing, she/he will have to return for a follow-up hearing test before being scheduled with an Audiologist. Hearing technicians may also identify a projected hearing profile and will refer that Service Member for an appointment with the Audiologist.
