The most recent appropriations for the Department of War expired at 11:59 p.m. EST on September 30, 2025. Military personnel will continue in a normal duty status without pay until such time as a continuing resolution or appropriations are passed by Congress and signed into law. Civilian personnel not engaged in excepted activities will be placed in a non-work, non-pay status.

Evans Army Community Hospital will continue to honor all scheduled appointments during the partial government shutdown. Our patient appointing service is open and will still take requests for appointments. The hospital’s emergency room and inpatient services, to include the Mountain Post Birthing Center, will remain fully operational. All ancillary services (pharmacy, laboratory, radiology) will also remain operational. As always, safe and high-quality healthcare remain our priority and we are doing our best to minimize impact on our beneficiaries and their health care. Driving Directions

Evans Army Community Hospital is located at 1650 Cochrane Circle (building 7500) on the south side of Fort Carson. The easiest way to drive to the hospital is to enter through Gate 5 on the west side of post on Highway 115, which is up the hill (heading south) from Gate 1. As you drive on post you will see a large brick hospital to your right.

Patient only parking is located on the west (mountain side) of the hospital as well as the north and east side. Expectant mothers and disabled parking is located on the east and west sides of the hospital adjacent to the building (designated parking pass required).
