WEATHER CLOSURE - March 14-15, 2024:

Due to the ongoing snowstorm that is expected to last until midday Friday, all Evans Army Community Hospital outpatient services, walk-in ancillary services, and administrative departments will be closed for the remainder of today and all day tomorrow (March 15). Our outpatient clinic teams are calling all patients with appointments scheduled today and tomorrow to cancel or reschedule appointments for a future date, unless mutually agreed upon by the patient and staff to maintain their current appointment/procedure.  Patient Appointing Services will remain open, but due to minimal staffing, patients should expect longer than usual wait times. The closure will not impact inpatient care or emergency services.

PHARMACY UPDATE - March 5, 2024:

All Evans Army Community Hospital Pharmacies are still impacted by the reported cyberattack on the nation’s largest commercial prescription processor, Change Healthcare, that has affected military clinics and hospitals worldwide.

All pharmacy services are available, but our pharmacies continue to use manual procedures to process prescriptions. As a result, patients should expect longer than usual wait times. We apologize for the inconvenience, but our pharmacy teams are working hard to process prescriptions as quickly as possible.

There is no known resolution date at this time, but we will continue to provide updates here on Facebook, on our public website (https://evans.tricare.mil/) and via MHS Genesis Secure Messaging.

PHARMACY UPDATE - Feb. 26, 2024:

Fort Carson Outpatient pharmacies are still impacted by the reported cyberattack on the nation’s largest commercial prescription processor, Change Healthcare, that has affected military clinics and hospitals worldwide.

As a result, we have modified our pharmacy systems to continue to provide safe pharmacy services. We are temporarily implementing a Drop-Off only service for all routine prescriptions at the Main Outpatient Pharmacy, with Pick-Up only service at the SFCC Pharmacy (please reference attached service schedule).

All emergent, discharge prescriptions will be processed same day. Refills will be processed through Audiocare or through the Drop-Off only process at the Main Pharmacy.

Feb. 22, 2024: Pharmacy Outage

Fort Carson Outpatient pharmacies have been impacted by the global system outage at a healthcare technology company that helps our pharmacies validate pharmacy requests. This outage is impacting dispensing of pharmacy prescriptions – resulting in delays in processing and in some cases, inability to process. Refills have also been impacted, but can still be retrieved from ScriptCenter or by pulling a ticket at the pharmacy. Please visit or call your respective pharmacy for more information. There is no known resolution date at this time. We apologize for the inconvenience and are doing all we can to resolve this issue as quickly as possible. Click here for more information.
