The most recent appropriations for the Department of War expired at 11:59 p.m. EST on September 30, 2025. Military personnel will continue in a normal duty status without pay until such time as a continuing resolution or appropriations are passed by Congress and signed into law. Civilian personnel not engaged in excepted activities will be placed in a non-work, non-pay status.

Evans Army Community Hospital will continue to honor all scheduled appointments during the partial government shutdown. Our patient appointing service is open and will still take requests for appointments. The hospital’s emergency room and inpatient services, to include the Mountain Post Birthing Center, will remain fully operational. All ancillary services (pharmacy, laboratory, radiology) will also remain operational. As always, safe and high-quality healthcare remain our priority and we are doing our best to minimize impact on our beneficiaries and their health care. Please call (719) 526-CARE (2273) to schedule or cancel appointments. For questions about TRICARE during the shutdown, please visit https://www.tricare.mil/shutdown.
